Sustainability

As a brand, we’re conscious of what and how we produce. The industry has a long way to go before it can become truly sustainable, but it’s important to be transparent in an effort to make Sondor Jewellery a sustainable jewellery option for the consumer.

Our Materials

We only use 100% recycled gold and silver, and are happy to use our clients’ own jewellery to melt down into new pieces. No freshly mined metal is added to our supply chain.

Every piece of jewellery is handmade to order in our London studio. This means there is no wasted materials - if a piece is not used, we melt it down and reuse it for another project. If we require any outsourced processes, we work with suppliers based in the UK.

We always make a conscious effort to source gemstones from reputable suppliers. We regularly use lab-grown gemstones, and are happy to work with our clients’ own stones.

We also use organza jewellery pouches, made from natural fibres such as silk which are biodegradable and renewable.

Delivery

Our chosen supplier for international shipments is DHL, offsetting emissions for each delivery.

For UK shipping, we use Royal Mail, who have the lowest reported carbon emissions per parcel of any major UK delivery company.

Sondor Jewellery strives to help move the jewellery industry towards a more sustainable route. If you have a specific question that hasn’t been answered, please drop us a line at sondorjewellery@gmail.com
